London 2012 Olympics Women's 100M Finals Race Review
Today, I watched the Women's 100M Finals Race. The favorite to win was the Jamaican, Shelly Ann Fraser Pryce. She was the victor in 2008. The TV guy describes her as the fatest woman from a country of fast runners. Well, Jamaica has a monopoly in race's gold medals. There was some doubt about her chances at winning. After all, no racer had ever won Olympic gold twice in a row in this event. Shelly comes from a tough background. Its not easy being a poor woman, or a woman in Jamaica. Most of the Jamaican women get pregnant at the age of 18. She had no money for the university.
Four years ago, Shelly competed in the Beijing Olympics. After winning the gold, she obtained enough funds to finance her education. Thus, she became the first in her family to earn a collage degree. Anyhow, she ran her race. She won for like .03 of a second. She was the first to win twice in this Olympic race. She really happy about her victory. She has tasted victory again, while she wore the Jamaican flag. Truly, Shelly is a 5 star worthy athlete.
