Teresita Blanco Poems : Let Down Your Guard, 2 Fragments, and Mirror
The first poems is Let Down your Guard. The poem is about someone who is always on the defense. That person must lower his guard. He will not come to harm. The two fragments are peachy. Nothing too far out there. The last poems is another one of those "Look Past the Mirror" poems. This one I wrote a day I thought the Wizard was a demon. My brother has always very convincing argument. Its disgusting! However, I am getting better at not letting him influence me. In any case, these four poems of mine deserves 5 stars rating.
Let Down Your guard

Behind
those eyes
Hides a
raging flame,
Driving
you insane.
You can
never cope.
Only
hope,
With
your foe, with your woe!
Let down
your guard,
You will
not come to harm.
You must
smile
At their
guile,
You must
kiss
Their
cold steel.
You must
yield,
Put down
your shield.
Enter
now true bliss.
Let down
your guard,
You will
not come to harm.
Do not
raise your shield,
To them
you must yield.
I cannot
bear,
Your
menacing glare.
Those
cold eyes
Were
once like mines.
In your
glare
I see
only hell.
Put down
your guard,
You will
never know harm.
Smile at
your foe,
Die for
their woe,
Surrender
today
To see a
new day.
Let down
your guard,
You will
never know harm!

Come
close and hear me speak.
Help me
find the one I seek.
Ill
repaid my efforts were,
I cannot
return to “before”.
Bellow
this dark pool
Sings
the old, cold fool.
His eyes
reflect my regret,
His
heart yearns to forget.

Beneath
so much hate
A flower
yearns to bloom!
Her life
spells your doom!
It’s
written in the stars, its fate.
Mirror

Look
past the mirror,
What do
you see?
An empty
face, filled with horror,
An empty
space, there lies he.
You
cannot see
Behind
the mirror,
There is
only darkness.
There is
only blackness.
Look
past the mirror,
What do
you see?
A cold
frail hand
Seeking
to live again,
A soul
that’s damned,
That
always felt pain.
Behind
the mirror,
Lies an
untold sorrow,
That you
can’t behold.
His
hand, frail and cold,
The
hearth lies hollow.
Look
past the mirror,
To the
face you refuse to see!!
Days and
ages,
Bring
forth changes.
As he
now ages,
The hand
you held
Has
withered in hell.
He lies
beyond help,
For him
you fell.
