Sword Art online, is the next best RPG anime game fantasy world. The main character is Kirito. He was a beta tester for Sword Art Online. As a beta tester, he tried the game before anyone. The anime show begins with Kirito trying the finished version of the game. This online game is matrix style. You put on a helmet and your off to never land. While inside the game Kirito meets a new player. He gives him a bit of a tutorial.
After the tutorial, his new friend tries to log out to get his pizza in the real world. He searches the menu, but the log out button had been disabled. This obviously freaked them both out. Then, a bell rang and all the players were summoned to the first town by the game master. The thing about Sword Art is that there is no magic. Ironically, the game master is a blood mage. Like his type of magic, the Game Master made his appearance by bleeding from the sky onto the plaza. That was quite the dramatic entrance.
He told them of a few new rules. The Game master had taken the log out button out. Also if anyone from the real world tried to remove the helmet of the players, the helmet would slay them. He assured them that they where safe. Word had gotten around about the helmet's new features. Word travels fast after 200 players died when their helmets were removed. The game master had also disabled all the revive spells and the phoenix downs. Like the matrix, if you die in Sword Art Online you die in the real world.
In order to return to the real world, all 100 levels must be cleared. The problem is that the beta version of the game only went as far as level 8. As a final gift, the game master gave a mirror to all the Sword Art Online players. When the gamers looked in the mirror, their true forms manifested. Now, the characters they had made up had acquired their true appearance. Some of the players that had made a girl character turned to boys. They still kept the armor and weapons intact.
The playing field has been set. Sword Art Online begins!! For an RPG game is pretty gory and has a lot of action. The first episode is simply the intro. In the second episode, they dealt with the first boss. Like 50 players died. If the other bosses are stronger than the first, then Kirito is in some serious trouble. In any case, Phi Stars recommends Sword Art Online. This anime show is 5 star worthy.
