Binbougami Ga! New Anime Review
Binbougami Ga! is the newest summer anime show. Binbougami Ga! is about a bad luck deity named Momiji. Her next assignment is to steal the luck of Sakura Ichiko. Sakura has so much good luck that her life is practically set. She has a huge can, which has Momiji dying of envy. She is filthy rich. Has good grades and all the boys at her school are in love with her. In the first episode, Momiji tried to ambush Sakura in the bathroom. Like a classical ghost, Momiji came out of the toilet.
Momiji imagined that this assignment was going to be easy. However, Sakura has too much luck. Her Good Luck is stronger than Momiji's bad luck. After repeated failed attempts to steal Sakura's luck, Momiji is forced to change her tactics. Momiji tried diplomacy. She explained to Sakura how her Good Luck drained the Good Luck of others. Thus, becoming one massive ball of good luck. Sakura was going to bring suffering to all she cared about.
Sakura avoided Momiji again. However, Sakura changed her mind when her butler got a heart attack. Momiji told Sakura that it was her own doing. The butler had ran out of luck because he was always expossed to Sakura. It was so bad that the butler ,in the past, had lost his wife and daughter. Momiji then found Sakura's guard down. She managed to steal most of Sakura's luck.
However, Sakura was not ready to part with it. She stole Momiji's Luck Container. She ran to the hospital and broke it so that her Butler would live. The luck that was released not only cured the butler, but all the patients. It also cause the Sakura blossoms in the park to bloom early. That scene was hilarious. The other funny scene was the bad luck explanation.
Among those show to have bad luck was Vegeta. If you think about it, Vegeta had the worst luck in the world. The Dragon Balls were stolen while he slept. The Dragon Balls died before granting his Immortality wish. He was beaten up terribly in most of the DBZ episodes. All those beatings did not make him a super Sayan. I think he got taken over by Buu. He grew a mustache. He failed to beat up Cell. His planet was destroyed by the man he had sworn fealty. I think those are all his a bad luck incidents.
Another funny incident, occurred when Momiji was chasing after Sakura. Momiji got angry that Sakura kept making fun of her and her failures. In a terrible fit, Momiji called upon all her bad luck. She chased Momiji all over the city with an armada of black cats. It was really a sight to behold.
Ok, back to Binbougami Ga! Anyhow, after Sakura saved her butler, she fired him. She told her butler to go find himself a family. Sakura said she did not need him anymore. She did this to keep him safe from her Good Luck. When she went home, Momiji was waiting for her. When the container was broken, most of her old Good Luck had returned to Sakura. Momiji had returned to take her Good Luck again. Thus, this closes the first episode. I do so love the Good Luck Bad Luck concept of this yuri anime comedy. It is a must see.
