London Olympics 2012 Gymnastics All Rounds Qualification : The Corner of Doom
I have been telling you for days about several evil things about the British. Frankly, they are a bunch of annoying hypocrites. That point aside, today I will rant about their latest nuisance. I call this episode, the Corner of doom. Last night, I watched the women's floor Gymnastic routine. It was after the swimming chicks finally finished. During the floor exercises, all the girls stumbled in the same spot. There was only one girl that avoided the trap. She was the US chick that did not run all the way to the end.
I noticed that after the third US chick stumbled, her pals warned the last maiden to hit the floor. Thus, she was able to get a high score. The problem is that stumbling gives you some serious point deductions. What's overkill is when your feet touches the red mat. Almost all girls that stumbled had a two point deduction. This does not sound like much. However, the usual floor reunites , at most, only get you 16.00 points. If you are perfect and sublime, then you reach 20. However, a 2 point deduction is overkill for these poor maidens.
I have a sneaky suspicion that the floor was messed up on purpose. In doing so, only the British chicks advance to the All round with flying colors. Perhaps I am exaggerating a little. However, I don't trust them... At least the Chinese, only cheated through bureaucracy. I remember last Olympics Nastia Liukin got more points, than the Chinese chick. She lost because of the randomized point selections. Simply through so called bad luck, Nastia lost to the Chinese kid. Most people forget that there is such a thing as home field advantage. The Vietnamese had it, the Americans had it, and now the British learned from their history. I really don't trust them...
