London 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony Review Part 2

The next performance is inspired on Peter Pan. Basically, the nurses are reading Peter Pan to the children. The British took this chance to brag about their National Health Service. Mike Oldfield played the song for this performance. The beds have been arranged to make cute patterns. As light falls on them, they form the letters NHS. Works pretty well if you ask me. In this part, Danny Boyle wanted to capture the bed time feel.  At his point, JK Rowling reads Peter Pan's description of Neverland.

Frankly, I liked this section better than the previous history lessons. From the beds later emerged the Queen of Hearts, Captain Hook and Voldermont. Boy, Oldfield's guitar was amassing. Goons are haunting children's dreams. They are rescued my Marry Poppins. Interesting concept to say the least. From here on out, it just gets sweeter and sweeter. Not good for those with diabetes. In the background, people are moving pink shinny papers. As the song ends, the armada of Marry Poppins puts the children to sleep. They also brought out a giant sleeping baby. Well, this part of the London Olympics opening deserves 5 star rating. Much better.

London 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony Part 3 Chariots of Fire London Symphony Orchestra Performance

Now, this is what I expect from the London Symphony orchestra. Mr. Beans is at the electric Piano. For a joke, its not half bad. Hilarious, considering how he is playing with his Iphone during the performance. Truly, Apple must have payed billions of dollars to have Mr. Beans bring out this Iphone. This is a perfect example of product placement. Ah, can't there be a performance free of commercials? Next, we see a long video of Mr. Beans cheating in a race. The ending is not half bad. A bit anti climatic. Overall, this part of the London 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremonye gets 4 stars. It gets minus 1 star for the Iphone commercial.

London 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony Part 4

The History of music of the London 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony was a bit cheesy. Not even the Beatles was able to say this nightmare. I think it was cheap to rely on a house TV. Then again, this was a 3D TV. I suppose I was not able to see the point because I did not have 3D glasses. It was the story of a girl, a boy and a cellphone. Another point for apple and their brilliant product placement. Overall, it was not half bad.  At least the music was tolerable. Plus, I did like a lot the 80s and metal music section of the performance. It was full of mutant colors and killer riffs.  The final section was a brilliant light show. The music manifested in colors. It went toward the musician that was released from the 3DTV house. Thus, this performance ended with a flash. 5 stars for the London 2012 Olympics.

London 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony Part 5 Parade of Nations and the Rest

Now, the torch is arriving. The days when the commoners could see the torch is over. What a pity. Then again, it might have waltz about Britain before the boat ride. Well, that's the downside of public TV. You always miss most things about current events. While the torch took its dear sweet time to arrive, they began the Parade of Nations. The parade is nothing too far out there. Its funny how everyone was giving the evil eye to Pakistan. You remember, they where hiding Osama Bin Laden. I bet half the expectorates where half afraid that these Pakistanis would try something fishy. Well, its not the athletes fault that their leaders are corrupted misogynist. We each try to do our best in the system we inhabit.

Among the high points of the London 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony was the music. They were playing The Bee Gees music. The commentators were surprised at how fast the Athletes were marching. They had to cram up their comments. They spoke of how an African leader had promised his athletes a gold bar (worth half a million) if they brought home the gold. The American team was easily recognized. There was not one that did not have a camera or a cellphone. Only this team, could not simply enjoy the moment. What's funny is that the crowd cheered more for the US team than for the British Team. Hahahahaha. Go! Team USA!!! You are still 5 star worthy.

The Beatles
Come Together Performance

This Beatles tribute began with a flock of dove men. Yeah, I know it sounds weird. Those Dove men of phosphorescent color rode bikes. The band doing the Beatles tribute was wonderful. The dove of peace also took flight on a bike. He was doing an ET reference. Now, this was the high point of the ceremony. Plus, the guitar solo was amassing.

Later, came two super boring speech. The Queen then declared the Olympics beginning. Its interesting how the Olympic flag was passed by Muhammad Ali. You know, I noticed that the performance was racially sensitive. Many outsiders do not know that British are seriously racist. I suppose that they tried to sweep all this under the rug for the Olympics. However, they are racist on a daily basis. I took a class on African British Literature class. Those Africans writers are seriously bitter against the British.

Cauldron,Olympics,Torch

Well, enough of sour remarks. I see the torch entering the stadium. Its being taken by young athletes. The ending with the fireworks was amassing. Shinny. Incredible. Perfect, sublime ending. Overall, this London 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony was 5 star worthy. Come and see this summer Olympics. It all ended with fireworks. You can never go wrong with fireworks. If you ask me, the high point of "Hey Jude" of Paul McCartney was his croaking. It was so funny that even he half chuckled while playing the piano. 5 stars for Danny Boyle. Yay!!! Go, Team USA!!
