Japan's 8.8 Earthquake
Yesterday hundreds of Otakus awoke to find their homes washed away or completely destroyed. On 3/11/11 a terrible 8.8 earthquake shook the very bowels off the land of Nippon. But alas that was not the least of the Japs problem. This terrible earthquake brought forth a tsunami, also a damp broke and thus the Japs were flooded both by the tsunami and by the broken damp. It is a terrible tragedy what occurred in Japan, to add insult to injury two of their nuclear reactors are malfunctioning. Their two greatest accept might just prove to be their undoing.
This news is of great importance to ,ebecause Japan is the main producers of anime. This disaster might hinder future production of many great shows we enjoy like Naruto and Wolverine. Aside from this minor detail, lots of poor foreigner Otakus were in Japan when the earthquake struck. So now in US, there are a lot of frighten mothers wondering what has befallen their poor children.
while I sit and further meditate on this show, I cannot help but bring to mind an anime show called Magnitude 8.0. This anime shows what might happen to Japan if a terrible earthquake struck home. It seems that their prophecy was a bit short, the difference between 8.0 and 8.9 lies in the power that an 8.9 has to summon up a tsunami. The highest earthquake they ever received was 7.0. So many of the buildings did not have the strength to withstand 8.9 earthquake. There is also the tsunami that was able to enter inland eight miles.
This is truly such a pity. I wonder if it is the end of the world? I mean first Haiti and now Japan. The mother earth has been going berserk a lot lately. Another thing that worries me is the date that it happen day 11 of year 2011. I have always been afraid of that number. Perhaps 11 is the new 13. We should be careful during the 11th day of each month from now on. Many terrible things have happen on such day.
I really do think we should do all we can for Japan. They are getting lots of international aid from 41 countries but all the roads are blocked by the water. Help has not arrived to the areas mostly affected. I am truly worried about the Japanese.
