In this book the main character called Laura describes the strange occurances that took place ten years ago. She describes the strange enfatuation and even carnal desires displayed by the Lady Carmilla who was placed under the care of her father. As time passes she soon discovers that the strange apparitions that she sees in her dreams is the vampire Carmilla who seeks to become one with her in death. This novel is easy enough to follow. Many of the scenes between Camilla and Laura are stolen by Bramm Stoker twenty years later in his novel Dracula. This story predates Dracula and thus is suspected of being the original first Vampiric novel of the 1800s. Enjoy!!
