The Origin of Monsters : Werewolf

When you see the Alien movies don't you ever wonder what sort of sick twisted mind created such a beast? I always meditated on the origin of monster. Not the mystical cliche origins but the one rooted on people's sick imagination triggered by fear of the unknown. This forum hopes to shed some light on some common fears of demons raging from the Bogeymen to zombie to werewolf.

My hope that one you understand the birth of such a fear you will wield it and use it upon whoever is stupid enough to be afraid of it. Or the better alternative...you yourself will stop being afraid of it. Thus, we shall look under each others bed, we shall drag out the spooks pretending to be the boogieman in your room. Let us bring pleasant dreams back to our home.

Well...enough with stupid epic introductions. Lets start with a classical figure : the were-wolfs. This concept of werewolves originates in the frigid Norman lands. This monsters are said to be the lovers of the dead women that live with the Ice Queen under Valhalla. Anyhow, this were man only have male sperms thus it is impossible for there to be a were-woman. They always mate with human woman and the end result is that the mother dies giving birth to a werewolf. That's without counting the biting issues. Their bites only work one men since the werewolf gene lies in the Y chromosome.

You with me so far. Well... time to unmask this beast. Werewolves are said to have black hair and black eyes and to have tanned skin in their human form. You with me so far...This description is common among the ancient Roman warriors. Romans had the tendency to beat the living out of the Normans (or barbarians) . Thus, the embodiment of Norman's fear for the Romans was transcribed into the persona of the werewolf.

Think about it my friends. Wolves like the Romans hunt in a pack. They have brute force and are well organized and they follow the orders of their alpha male (in this case the Roman commander). Once they get you they eat you or in the roman sense crucify you or they send you to the lions. Both are brutal and super scary but also organized so you know that they will always get to you despite all your best efforts. 

Thus, we have unmasked the origin of the werewolves. They are a result of super sacred vikings being terrorized by blood thirsty legionaries. Next time I will discuss blood thirst vampires. Until then, ta ta!
