Eureka 7Anime Review
There is a lot to be said about Eureka Seven. There is kid soldiers, genocide , equality of the races, the zone, technology, the Scub Corals, Buddhist influence, lost of innocence, wars, elitism, inter-generation clashes (old vs Young) , ect, ect. It is almost impossible to pick a single topic and claim outright that it is the sum of all themes of Eureka Seven. It is for this reason that I will try to stay around the periphery of all the above mention topics and thus muster my intellect to tell you outright that this is what Eureka Seven is about.
Before I forget, I am compelled to inform you that Eureka seven is a TV series developed by Bones. The graphic novel came after the anime show. It should thus not be regarded as the genuine article. This is a serious major production and not the works of some creative mangaka artist. It is just too grown up, too much crowded with information. Plus, the endings of the graphic novels get rather creative. In some they win, in others they lose. But alas I am too hasty to speak ill of a very creative fan art.
Moving along...on the surface it is a show about humans that where forced into exile after the scub corals took over planet earth. What is hilarious about the situation is that they circle the planet earth 50 times and thus said look there is a new planet. Thus, they relanded on the transformed earth. Now, that I think about it it was a pretty stupid scenario. After they had landed the Scub Corals had become rather dormant. They only came to the surface to collect information.
From time to time, they send human, chick versions of themselves to live among the humans. The way they are created makes them rather prone to being molded around the situation they inhabit. In laymen's terms, they are sponges of information. Eureka is among these kinds of beings. She was first found inside the Nirvash by Adroc Thurston. From this primordial LFO the other units where soon developed. Many experiments where done on her in the past. From the research they gathered from her they tried time and time again to make others like her. Eventually they where able to develop Anemone and her Nirvash The End (but I will speak of her elsewhere).
After indoctrination of Eureka into the military life she was sent on repeated missions to slay the Varderak resistance. They where not truly "resistant" it was just a fancy word the the military used to explain their genocide of the Varderak. One of the their soldiers , Holland was deeply influence by the Leader of the Varderaks, Master Norb. He asked Holland to look after Eureka until her partner made his appearance. Her union with this human partner would lead to mutual coherence between the Coralians and the humans. After learning these and many other facts about Eureka Holland realized that this whole Varderak operation was meant to hinder the peace keeping process between that had started between the Coralians and the Varderaks.
Thus, Holland with Eureka and many of his supporters deserted from military and formed the Gekkostate (or Moonlight State). It was when the Gekkostate was established that Renton came into the picture. Not only was he to be Eureka's partner but he was to be the second pilot of the Nirvash. Nirvash, the first LFOs, had a compartment for two pilots. However, there was hardly anyone that was worthy of pairing up with Eureka.
In time, Renton starts earning the Love and Respect of Eureka. He starts raising her three children Maurice, Maeter and Linck. There are some conflicts along the way, mostly Holland related. Not only had he to prove his worth to Eureka but also to Holland (who was under the impression that he was Eureka's partner). Overall it is a pretty decent show with ups and downs left and right. I will stop now with post for I do not wish to drag it on for too long. needless to say, I will write far more on all the above things I mentioned.

LOL at the 2nd picture above. haha! seriously, i love the plot of this anime. combined cool mecha things infused with passion and love between two lovers. but there's nothing cooler that what i found in the site of PIJ. a lot of cool Eureka 7 stuffs! Heavens! XD
