This anime was created by the great and all powerful Osamu Tezuka aka the godfather of anime. Unlike his previous kiddy grade works like Astro Boy, 009-1 displays a high level of violence and adult situations. He usually cuts to the chase. There are no annoying long nonchelat scenes. This show is about the Cold War. The main character is a beautiful chick robot spy that is trying to save a doctor that created a new form of energy . Should this energy fall into the wrong hands the Cold War could really start heating up!

This anime show I used to watch it along Pokemon. Like Pokemon, the first season was amassing. However, at the show progressed it got worse and worse. I practically stopped watching it after Seto defeated the terrible computer virus that had trapped him within his PC. I found it rather annoying this rest in peace deal. If I had been Yami I would have said "screw you...Shadi I want to stay as a poltergeist forever,baby".
That being the case, I found it unbecoming that Yami Bakura was to be the bad guy. I say a lot of trouble would have been averted if his royal highness would have given him a county or two 4000 yrs ago. That's what I would have done. It would have been the proper action considering that Yami's father butchered the kid's entire village. I mean the gods barbeque the old bastard for it. So why did not the son give reparation money to Yami Bakura.
I do not buy the whole , oh they where the evilest and vilest humans and thus they had to used to make the millennium items. That load of bull does not cut it in modern era. I mean the grown ups, yeah I might have believed that the men pillaged a village every once in a while. But the slaying of women and children I cannot condole. That being the case the Pharaohs where at fault. It would have made more sense to me if the pharaoh sr. had picked a random village and destroyed it for his own Hitler experiments. But this moralistic look does not fit the time period that Yami belongs to. Morals where not created or set in stone till the Hittites and the Babylonians. For the Pharaohs, they where god and all else mice meet for their dark deeds.
That being said, the early behavior of Yami suited well the time period that he belonged to. His brutality was superd. He truly did behave like a king.The fact that he yielded to the boy was a sign of weakness. It did not seem to fit the ruthless nature of the olden kings. Truly ,the fact that he yielded so easily assured the destruction of Egypt in subsequent generations. Egyptians hated change. It can be noticed that their art did not alter for hundreds and thousands of years. Yami's inconsistency marks him off as a weak king-god.
Moreover, I must give this show a 5 Star Fury Rating for the first part.
Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust
This anime movie is one of the best vampire movies that I have seen. The final boss is the primordial vampire Carmilla. She predates Bram Stoker’s Dracula by 20 years. Much of Dracula was copied from this book. That being said the creator of this show truly know his material. The graphic novel also is well executed. This movie is actually a re-mastered version of the first vampire hunter D movie. I found it interesting the rocket ship. Never had I seen a Gothic style rocket. The scenery was pretty well executed. The character’s bodies are a strange blend of marvel and shojen jump.
My favorite vampire was the Count who stole the pretty lady.I thought that it was super cool when he got out of the carriage during sunset when the rescuers tried to steal his pretty lady. You have to admit that it was a pretty gutsy move. It is as if Satan went swimming in a pool of holy water.That was in my opinion the most intense vampire scene that I had ever seen. The bastards where jeering at him and throwing him arrows. I am glad that the rescuers where later on eaten by Carmilla.
Regardless I must state that this was among the best vampire movies I have seen. Thus I give it a 5 Star Rating.
Trinity Blood
The title Trinity Blood is fitting for the show. The three types of blood that appear are that of the Krusnics, the Vampires and the humans. It seems to me that the Kusnics are artificial beings created by god knows who. Their home base is located in the dark side of the moon. For all we know, these kinds of feins are alien hybrids.
Anyhow, I found certain scenes a bit annoying. The characters tended to act too much like Medieval Catholic church. Their priest carried within them the same hipocrasy and the old crusader spirit. I found it odd that a brat was the pope. However, only divine inspiration could have caused such a voting.
As for Father Nightrode, he had killed hundreds and thousands of vampires. But one day, he faces a human folk and says "oh but I never killed anyone and I could not bring myself to do so". He went on with this load of bull in later episodes regarding vampires and other krusnic.
At least, his twin is not hypocritical. It seems that at a certain point the anime went on a tangent. They decided to give super human morals to that Nightrobe. However, I cannot condole such hypocrite. It seems to me that they started to imitated the style of Trigun. That being the case, Nightrobe's behavior was unoriginal. At another case, he started to behave far too much like Alucard, with the laughing and the screaming and the yelling.
That being the case I give it 5 stars
The Wallflower
This is one of my all time favorite show. I enjoyed both reading the graphic novel and watching the show. The girl Sunako has a hidden dark beauty that was disdained by a stupid boy that she liked. Now she wastes away in darkness and despair. This is a show that all girls should watch. It teaches etiquette, poise and good table manners. It is ironic that boys are teaching a girl how to behave like her sex.
Anyhow, little by little Sunako relearns the art of been a lady. Aesthetic wise this show is quite pleasing. The boys are super studs and of a dashing personality. Sunako herself is a unique beauty. The artist was smart to give Sunako violet eyes. This eye color is rare among the humans. The last living person know to have it was Katharine Hepburn and she was usually paired up with Marylin Monroe in the movies. Yes...I remember that purple eyed lady played Wonder Woman and Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend. Sunako herself is quite wonderful. She is both a great cook and a fierce fighter. This show is also mark by a dark hilarity. It is the only anime that kept me laughing in all episodes.
I truly hope you enjoy watching. I must give it a 5 Star Rating.
Soul Eater
Most do not realize that Soul Eater is the name of Maka's sythe. Only in the first episode did Maka state Soul-kun's full name. In this anime, there appears the theory of sympathetic souls and how they interact with one another. Sympathetic souls are souls that have a common feature that unite them. In other words it is what we westerners call soul mate. Maka uses her soul mate to battle.
This show also teaches the children how to deal with one's fear. Like the Kinchin, if one lets fear get the better of them they turn into monsters. The most logical fear speech was given by Asura the Kinchin. It is weird to see someone so insane speak in a logical fashion and with such eloquence that rivals that of Obama. The main thesis is that fear is imaginary. The greatest fear comes from what one imagines. It is bad to know that one will get attacked by a tiger or a ghost. But the anticipation of the coming blows create such spectators that turns the skin deathly white. In the end, fear is conquered by courage. It is really a simple and straight forward anime.
I like it a lot. Specially, Shinigami- sama. He was simply a bright and cheerful fellow , which contrasted greatly with his identity of Death. Thus, this show expostulates another theory that death is not something to be fear. It is when the order of death its challenge that chaos soon erupts.
Anyhow, this show gets a 5 Star Rating.
Scyed
Scryed, a show about revenge and civil unrest. Twenty years ago a mutant came from another dimension. His appearance caused 2% of the newborns to have supernatural powers. Every so often this monster appears and challenges in mortal combat one of these mutant boys. The few that survive obtain an added boost in strength. The two main characters Kazuma and Ryuho battled the "Alter" in order to increase their alter powers. The name of their abilities describes how these mutants alter matter in order to turn them into a unique weapon. This show has great battles. The story line is a bit straight forward. Aside from that it is quite enjoyable.
This gets a 5 Star Rating.
Sailor Moon
I used to watch this show since I was a little girl. At times I would grab a rod or a pike and go beat up my playmates yelling "moon scepter obliteration" and other such phrases from the show. I enjoyed watching Sailor Moon transform. She was simply adorable dashing. I remember how in one of the episode the evil queen (whose name alludes me) said that she was actually a he that wanted to be a she. Thus the final boss was a transvestite.
Suddenly, static reigned over the air space at paxtv. The show had been canceled. Oh! it was rather adorable to see the surprise of those puritan snobs when they saw their precious innocent show turn grim and barren. They could not handle the awful truth. These and other minor incidents I recall now with amusement.
At my tender age of seven I did not see what the problem was that the he wanted to become a she. It felt normal. Then again, I always had a high toleration for people's eccentricities. This was just a minor incident that baffled me. It did not stop me from watching the show. I truly did regret that day when Sailor Moon was banned indefinitely from the Paxtv that used to air it. As time passed the show was removed from public television all together. This goes to show that one should be weary of one's own creativity. What one at a certain point thinks to be cute becomes something of very ill humor in the end.
Regardless I must give this show a 5 Star rating.
wait dude, did you see that . I just noticed that one of the characters from the show that appears in the picture is the bare resemblance of Sessomaru from Inuyasha. He even has a crescent moon on his head (except that it points upward instead of to the left). What of that ...Rumiko really was uninspired when she created (or copied) Sesshy's design.
Saikano or the last love song on this little planet
This is one of the few animes that I have both watched and read all the way thru. In the graphic novel , Shin Takahashi displays his marvelous storytelling abilities. In the story, a boy named Shujin falls in love Chise. Little does he know that his clumsy girlfriend is actually Japan's Ultimate Weapon. As the show progresses Chise slowly loses her humanity as the machine threatens to overpower her human self.
In time she even loses the ability to give birth. This poor girl has lost the only thing would have assured her a normal life. Her dream of having a family with Shujin is shattered with this new revelation. Her transformation is irrevocable. She must fight to live. For if she refuses the machines within her will destroy her. Either humanity dies or she dies. The only thing that keeps her clinging to life is the vague hope of protecting Shujin. Chise represents in a way the state of the world. As she grows more inhumane the harsher and crueler the war becomes.
Watch this touching love story unfold. This gets a 5 Star Rating.
Pumpkin Scissors
The tittle itself is odd enough. This show is about the rebuilding of a nation after being ravaged by war. It shows how the veterans try to readjust to the new peace time situation. Some become lackeys for petty noblemen. Others become men for hired. Corporal Olen became a pumkinp scissor whose task is to get rid of all impediments that dare to harm the fragile peace that was created after the war. In addition, this anime shows how the reprogramming that the minds of soldiers must undergo in order to become killing machines. Some of the process are brutal and even savage.
Olem required his lantern is a psychological trigger that turned him from the kind good harty fellow into the deadly 909- war veteran. He heard over and over again in his trance Totem Sei. This phrase means in Russian "Kill Them". He was designed both in body and in mind to face off against tanks.
In addition, this show displays the advancement of technology. It began with horses and then proceeded to tanks. By the time the war ended there existed super humans like Olem. Among the odd tech, appeared the system of rapid fire that was not invented at the time the show took place. Also, there was develop a type of morphine suit that prevented flame tower users from realizing that they where burnt to a crisp beneath.
In the Character called Alice there appears an early form of such common systems that exist in Cuba or the soviet Union. I am prone to believe that a Russian created this anime show, based on the language and system of belief. She believes in equality for all yeah and green peace and all that baloney. Yeah she truly does live in never land that is for certain. Her father in numerous occasions chastised her for being so naive. She truly was the only true nobleman among the rotting nobility in this show. oh well ...ta ta !
Despite the filler episodes this anime show has earned a 5 Star Rating.
Petshop of Horrors
This is one of the few shows that I truly wished that it had more episodes. Frankly, if it had 100 or even 1000 episodes I would have watched it from start to finish. Do not be foolish as to think that petshop is something to look down upon. Frankly the animals that Count D sells are not of this world. In one episode he even sold a god to a politician (don't ask me how he got it). All the animals that where featured had a supernatural air about them ( I mean even Medusa had a price tag on her). The way that count D functioned led me to believe that D stood for devil or Dracula ( because only these two celebrities could put on stock these sorts of little devils). The sell was always in a contract format ( and like so ended in tragedy).
This is one of the best shows I have ever watched. I give it 5 Star Rating.
Peacemaker
For a show that has peace in its name it is certainly very violent and gory. This show has so much turmoil and unrest that calling it "Peacemaker" is a bit of an understatement. If it where up to me I would have called it War maker or Demon maker. The general theme is like any other Japanese soap opera. That being of revenge.Like all cliches the main boy lost his family to a vicious killer. Now and him and his brother must fend for themselves. I think that Edward Elric is based on this redhead kid. Both are 15th and extremely short. Both are arrogant and naive. But unlike Ed this kid wants to kill.
He joins the army dojo to train under Hijikada. This fable swordsman is said to be a demon and the way he butchers' his opponents leads one to believe that it is so. Thus, the kid begins his training to become a demon. However, the other soldiers taking pity on him keep giving him chores in order to prevent him from training. It could be said that they refuse to do so. This show displays a the theme of lost of innocence. Throughout the show this naive boy becomes a demon like the rest of the soldiers. the history and the thematic of it is simply dashing and inspiring.
Thus I must give this show a grand total of 5 Star Fury Rating.
Oh and speaking of look a likes. In this show that has seniority over bleach there appears an Aizen lookalike. Both in kimono and use nerdy glasses.
Onegai Twins And Teacher
Both these shows where made by the same author. The main character of "Teacher" was a boy that underwent a state of nirvana that only wise sages or Buddha ( and think Jesus in his desert trip) have been able to obtain. In this stand still, as the author calls it , the body enters a state of bliss. It no longer feels anything and its mind is focused on nothing. It is not that one thinks of nonchilat things or that no thoughts exist in this state. Rather that all thoughts are focused on nothingness. This boy after 2 years of meditation wakes up and must catch up with his current life.
One day, he meets an alien girl who becomes his teacher. She is a half breed (half human half martian) from Mars that went to earth to learn of the humans. In order for him to keep her secret safe he is forced by circumstances to marry her. It is truly a cutesy love story , with a few naughty scenes here and there. I am certain you will enjoy it.
The twins is the sequel to this show. It focuses on a boy who meets two girls that claim to be his twin. He must be careful not to fall in love with either of them for he might commit incest if things got out of hand. Unfortunately, for him both girl seem to fall in love with him ( and almost bed him on two separate occasions). This is interesting to watch. It displays a few adult situations here and there and everywhere.
