American Gothic Parodies Part 2

Well, this is the second part of my American Gothic Parody blog. Ok, lets get this show on the road. The first one shows the American Gothic couple like airliner pilots. Well, I think just the guy is the pilot. The wife is an airplane maid (I forget the proper name). You can see, their cute name tags on their clothing. Pretty neat. The background is still the same. A small plane would have helped the scenery.

american,gothic,cellphone

The next one is another Modern American Gothic. You can see a Satellite dish on top of roof of their house. Aside from modern clothing, both are on their cellphones. The husband has an Habano and a golf club (golf is a common sport for rich southern old men or old retire folk). The wife has her chest made. I think I see a Ferarri in the background. I think that is all for this one. 5 stars.

elvis,american,gothic

Here the husband is dressed like Elvis. Instead of the pitchfork he has a microphone. Really quite ingenious.

american,gothic,parody

Now this is quite the cool looking parody of American Gothic. The husband is like a pimp and his wife is his night walker. Both do look mighty handsome with their new attires. The house has not changed much...

army,american,gothic

The next American Gothic parody has the couple dressed for the army. The husband is holding up a rocket. Both do look stiff enough to be in the army. Traditionally, most of the Southern folk go to the army. They seem to be more patriotic than the rest (for better or for worse). On top of the helmet of the husband, he has a black heart Ace. I think that is for a popular game played by army men in the trenches (aside from making sweet love to each other...nah I am just messing around. I don't ask, or tell!!Hehehehe). In any case, this one deserves 5 star rating. Wait... I think they are wearing General uniform. Eh, whatever.

From all the legions of the US armed form, the Navy is the most notorious for having the largest amount of Gay folks in their unit. This is not a new thing. Ever since the sea fearing time, (500 BC to 1900) boats have been populated by men (its natural for men to get into each other to kill time). Sea travel was usually reserved for men because it was extremely dangerous. Only recently (wit the rise of feminism), have women tackled this dangerous line of work. Today, only 15% of the Navy officers are women (this is because women seem to prefer the Air Force. I don't blame them. Piloting airplanes seems like a lot of fun). Well, the maiden is also in the Navy. Eh, works the same. The wife I think is the general of the ship. The husband is a sailor that simply cleans the floor. I think that is everything worth mentioning.

american,gothic,parody

Well, here the couple are in the army reserves. They are infantry units. They amount for the largest casualties in all wars. They are the ones that have to deal with the mines, the ambushes, the snipers, ect. If you guys ever get drafted, go for the Air Force. Its the safest unit.

star,wars,parody

Now this is a funny American Gothic Star Wars spoof. I think the red guy is from the first movie. He has a light saver pitchfork. The maiden is dressed like princess Leah. Its really funny.

american,gothic,spoof

Eh, this is a simple American Gothic parody. Here the couple is made of balloons. Hahaha!!

american,gothic,zombies

Mmmmmm!! American Gothic  Zombies. Got Brains..?

valentines,american,gothic

The next one is a simple parody. It is Valentines day theme. The Husband has flowers. The maiden has a lil gift. Eh, whatever.

american,gothic,spoof

Now this winter spoof is pretty neat. The maiden is the Statue of Liberty. The husband with the pitchfork is Uncle Sam. The house is decorated with lil lights and a mistletoe. To finish the details in this parody, we see a lovely snow storm.

american,gothic,parody

The next pencil drawing of the American Gothic is based on the Mr. and Mrs. Smith movie. I see hundreds of references to this movie. It really is quite popular.

american,gothic,spoof

Nanananananan!! Beavis and Butthead American Gothic parody. Hehehehe. I remember playing a game of this show like a million years ago. Really weird. Still, it was quite the interesting two player Nintendo game (or Sega, I forget).

american,goth,spoof

Now this is another interesting American Goth. The eyes of the husband mimic those of Marylin Manson. The maiden is just a regular gothic witch nut bag. I do like the two lil bats in the background.

american,gothic,mad

This parody was made by Mad Magazine. I don't know anything of Mike or Molly. They are just here because of Mad's reference to American Gothic.

Now this is a funny American Gothic Anime parody. The husband is an otaku and the wife an anime girl. They live in one of those super small Japanese flats in the city. Really shabby lil small places. Still, this American Gothic is pretty original. The lil baby's speech bubble has a pitchfork inside of it. Pretty neat. 5 stars.

xmen,american,gothic

Well, here the Pitchfork has been provided by Wolverine. I am not too certain about the girl next to Logan. She must be Gene or someone... else. These days he is always paired up with like a different chick in every movie.

american,gothic,spoof

This one shows the American Gothic like some gangsters. Usually, gangsters with purple hats are pimps. I don't know why the big deal about huge clocks. Eh, whatever. This is a parody of today's fav.

xmas,american,gothic

Here is Santa and Rudolf as the American Gothic couple. Santa has one of those red flowers typical of December decorations. The place looks cute with all the snow. Anyhow, 5 stars.

sesame,street,spoof

This one is a Sesame American Gothic parody. The red one is Elmo. I do not know the identity of the golden one. I never watched Sesame Street. I am only familiar with Elmo because he went to Congress. I think it would be great to have a fictional character for a Representative. Whatever, 5 stars.

american,gothic,cartoon

This is an Spongebob Square pants American Gothic parody. This show is among the most popular kids show in the America. It makes sense that Sponge Bob acts as the grumpy husband. However, between you and me, I could never put up with even a second of that show.

star,wars,humor

This American Gothic spoof takes place at night. The husband now has a light saber. I guess its another Star Wars reference.

american,gothic,humor

Here the husband and the wife has switched heads.
american,gothic,turtle

From all the American Gothic parodies, the turtle couple is the sweetest of the bunch. They look so much in love with one another.

american,gothic,spoof

As for this one, here the American Gothic couple are being played by poser wooden dummies. They are a tool for artist that have to deal with complicated angles. Anyhow, the house too is wooden.

american,gothic,wood

Here we see the original American Gothic couple. Pretty neat, don't cha think? Both do look a lot like the painting. Grant Wood is quite the fine realism artist.

american,gothic,funny

The next American Gothic shows Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson as the couple. Well,  I do not really know anything about these two. Their names came with the file picture.

american, gothic,funny

Here the husband just murdered his wife with the pitchfork. Now he is happy. I guess this explains his creepy glare.

american,gothic,comic

This one is a comic. Here the wife is reading a magazine about Britney Spears' fighting for custody. The husband has a strange bib or something. I don't get this American Gothic parody.

evolution,american,gothic

Above we see the an American Gothic Evolution. The one I like best is the Hippie stage. The sky looks alive, full of so much colors. I see the air ,man!!! Snzzz!! 5 stars.

american,gothic,statue

This is the American Gothic statue at Chicago. the couple here is traveling abroad.

invisible,american,gothic

Here the American Gothic is invisible.

american,gothic,funny

This one is a motivational American Gothic poster. Its real funny the expression of the husband. Well, the medicine in the pitchfork is an aphrodisiac.

mupphet,american,gothic

The last one is a Muphet American Gothic. Kermit is the husband. Piggie is the wife, but with the pitchfork. Why not? I hope that you like this lil blog about American Gothic parodies.

    1. actually while the painting is daughter and father, the models used were husband and wife. that is why i refer to them as such.

    2. The models were not husband and wife. They were the artist's sister and his dentist. They had no relationship except posing together and maybe he was her dentist too. However, most people, incuding those that make the parodies, think it's husband and wife and some of the parodies get creepy if you think daughter!

    4. Thanks for this! Do you know who did each (or any) of these? It seems like the artists should get some credit!I'm particularly interested in the Uncle Sam/Statue of Liberty one.
