Barack Obama and Mitt Romney Second Presidential Debate

I was planning on watching the entire Second Presidential debate. However, yesterday I stayed up until 4 AM playing Dragon Dogma. Thus, I took a nap, after returning from the university. I ended waking up at 10:30 PM. Thus, I only watched the last half hour. Well, it is all for the better. In a presidential debate, only the end counts. People's memory these days are rather short. Only the novelty counts. Its just an internet thing, nothing too important.  I would have watched it fully on the internet. However, I been a bit distracted lately. That Dragon Dogma game arrived at a really bad time. Well, this is starting to turn into a Dragon Dogma review. Lets focus here, chibis!!

The first question that I heard, asked both candidates how they would create jobs. It is a standard question. I been hearing it in every debate. Romney said he would lower taxes and cut regulations. This is a typical republican answer. They are always for smaller government, for better or for worse. Obama wants to tax the rich for the money they make outside the US. I think that would be quite the change of pace. It might help the government benefit from the Globalization money that goes untaxed. I like this idea.

The second question asked how they hoped to make the US more competitive in the world economy. Mitt Romney took this opportunity to throw more rocks at China. He is playing on the American paranoia  of the Chinese.  However, we should not worry too much. China's economy is deflating. They sorta ran out of stimulus money to pump into their own economy. Thus, now they are starting to feel the world recession for real. Well, back to Romney. He complains that the Chinese keeps stealing the US intellectual property. It is pretty obvious who has been barking up that tree. He must have like an army of Hollywood lawyers chasing after him. The good news is that he also has an army of Google lobbyist trailing him. Needless to say, he wants to stick it to the Chinese, but not via SOPA or PIPA... for now.

You know what's hilarious. A new version of that bill has been riding along side the protect the women act or something. Thus, if the congress wants to save the ladies in distress they must sensor the internet. You did not think the SOPA bill had died out? Well, enough about SOPA and PIPA. As for Obama on the job market, he wants to invest on high paying jobs. He admits that many jobs will not come back. That is true. Many companies have been using the internet as a means of cutting down on workers. Now, if you are computer illiterate, it will be almost impossible for you to find a job.

Obama also wanted to invest in science. He says that we need innovation to remain competitive. I agree, we can't lag behind the Japanese. They are worlds ahead in all that Techno stuff. They are even working on building a true giant robot. Thankfully, there is only so much you can do with hydrolysis. Obama hopes that by investing in science he will make job creation in America more attractive. My answer to this statement is that the Americans cannot compete with the German engineers. Between the no child left behind, and the cutting on education funds we really have three generations of fools.

The last question was asked by someone in the audience. They asked the presidential candidates to clear up some major misconceptions about them. Romney claimed that his campaigned did not focused on ruining Obama's reputation. He wants to distant himself from the McCain Palin Campaign strategy. He tells us that he has all the right answer. He " knows" what we must do to make the US profitable. He also spoke his leadership role as a pastor of his community.

Speaking of being a pastor, in the last speech, he said he was temped of using the collection money to fund his business... That little statement does not humor me one bit. Whatever happened to not mixing spirituality and business (or the separation of church and state). Well, he closed up his little speech with God and the economy. I suppose only through divine intervention can he fix the US economy in four years.

As for Obama, he wanted to clear up the misconceptions about Government Jobs. The Republicans keep attacking him with the theory that Obama thinks that the government is the only one that can create jobs. However, Obama simply wants to  give everyone an opportunity to obtain a job. We all must play by the same rules. This ties into his regulation motif and how the rich guys get away with everything. He wants to power up the middle class.

He later acknowledged the opposition. He knows that Romney has good intentions. Yet, he wonders much about what Mitt Romney says behind closed doors. Then, Obama speaks of Mitt Romney's 47% of the country.  He speaks of students and the Veterans. They both have a hard time finding jobs. I know why the students have a hard time finding a job. All high paying jobs require experience. Yet, how can you get experience if all jobs available in your field require experience? There is just no winning in this state of things.

As for the Veterans, most universities do not take army credits. They are jerks. They do anything to keep you in school, forever!! Hahahaha!! Anyhow, Obama ended his little speech saying he wanted to help those people. Over all, I think he looked livelier in this speech. Then again, it is always the last speech that counts. Truly, neither candidate humors me one bit. However, I must add, they are 5 star worthy entertainers. Their political speeches humored me a lot. Truly, both Obama and Romney are 5 star worthy candidates in my book. They are the only candidates getting coverage.

Obama's Big Word of the Day: Malarkey - rubbish, exaggeration meant to deceive.
