Much Ado About School

Looking back, I realize that my time in school was wasted. According to my comparative economics class, graduates do not stand a chance against the oligarchs. Old money will just keep getting richer while the rest will keep getting poorer. Graduation does not mean a thing. I suppose Nathan Explosion has a point. When you graduate, you go back to living with your parents. There simply isn't a demand for the things we like. At a certain point, education stopped being of importance. Now all that matters are fresh, new ideas and money!!! School is the last place you will find them.

In the old days, you used to learn things in school. However, between mother curve and making money, Education has become useless. I realize that all our money's worth is to purchase the fancier diploma. There is really no difference between Yale or Miami Dade County School. Those Ivy Leagues may try to glamorize things. However, those fancy schools are nothing more than high priced social clubs. In this information era, you can practically learn anything on your own. The information is out there. Now use it. Books have more knowledge, than any teacher.

The current school system has bounded the teachers. Each group, each person learns differently. Yet, we must all submit to the same yolk. WE must always think the same thing, know the same thing. These so called electives are a big waste of time. Its better to focus on a path and be done with it. In the old days, you used to follow a steady path. All the necessary classes where set in stone. After High School its down hill with education. So many distractions designed to rob you of your well earned money. Think about,isn't best just to take the relevant courses and be done with it.

Now, we got choices and electives. FYI you are going to have a hard time finding employment with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts. Ever since I got inside school, I been feeling like I am wasting my time. I do not see any prosperity in any path available. Sure, I could be a doctor and spent and eternity or two getting the degree. However, there will come a time when Medicine will stop being profitable, at least for doctors. It happened to nurses, and it can happen to the rest of the branch of medicine this country. Many doctors have been left jobless when Medicaid and Medicare stopped paying what they owned. They simply put your cases for revision for 2 years and the whole Hospital or clinic goes down the drain. During Revisions, they do not have to paid for the treatments the patients have received. Thus, all  your work goes down the pits. These days most clinics prefer experience over a diploma. Thus, all you new doctors got zero to no chance in replacing a skilled old doctor.

I am of the belief that there are certain things that should not be a business. Medicine being one of them. Think about it, you get depressed the doctor gives you a pill. You are too hipper, more pills. You are neither, more pills. In the end, the ones who suffer are the patients. I observed a similar effect in the branch of studies that I am taking. With Journalism, things have gone downhill quickly. Now, instead of wars and politics we get cats and fashion. Nothing important is ever broadcast on TV. My teachers who used to be Journalist (who got fired when their newspapers and TV channels downgraded)  tell me, "You get more info about the US reading the BCC articles". Information is always suppressed and alter in order to attract advertisement. The news has become nothing more than infotainment.

Speaking of TV, let me tell you an interesting thing I saw on TV. The TV guy spoke of how the best graduate jobs are anything with Engineering at end. This makes sense considering that Engineering has a lot to do with the creative process. I have my doubts on a few things. You all know about globalization? Anyhow, the best and cheapest Engineers are either in Hindu or Chinese. Can the US graduates compete with the prices and high quality they offer? I am just saying... just do like the Facebook guy and steal a good idea from your friends. Make some money out of something. Make a robot. You are not making any money by simply sitting down like a drone and absorbing information. Use your refrigerated knowledge to make something of yourself.  What you do is up to you. Just make something new. Write a book, make a painting, start a band, open a blog, create a website. Just do something NEW!! Now Go Forth, and Die!! Bachelor of Arts! Hehehehe...
