London 2012 Olympics Women's 800M Freestyle Review
Yesterday, I watched the Women's 800M Freestyle. This race is more of a test of endurance. This race is done 100% in freestyle. The reasoning behind it is that if you fail it has nothing to do with the style. Freestyle is the simplest kind of swimming. Everyone can swim freestyle. The maiden leading the pack was Katie Ledecky. She is the youngest member of team USA. She is only 15 year old. This is her first time at the Olympics. She has hardly any international experience. For being a Greenhorn, she was able to pull a Micheal Phelps. Meaning, that she was like seriously ahead of the pack for the entire race. Around the end she slowed down a bit. She saw that she was completely alone in the final part of the race. She needs to reserve energy for other races. Regardless, this adorable swimming maiden deserves 5 stars rating.
