London 2012 Olympics Women's 400M Steeplechase Review

I watched this women's race yesterday. It was the Finals race. Basically, this race involves overcoming a few obstacles. The hardest one is a hump over a bar that has some water at the end. This event was invented by the British. What's hilarious is that no British maiden or men has won it, PERIOD! They basically called it quits and have not trained any racer for this event. The Jamaicans or the people from Kenya have a monopoly on all the foot races.

Well, this time the winner was a Russia blonde chick called Yuliya Zaripova. She had tried competing in regular track.  However, she was not able to keep up with the Jamaican maidens. She then switched to steeplechase. Now, she is the world champion of female Steeplechase. This time she made it official by winning Olympic gold. When the last turn was almost done she went turbo. She got a good lead over her opponents. When she saw she was alone at the finish line her face was pure joy. She thanked her Catholic God for her victory, and went to parade her Russian flag. It was quite the lovely 5 star worth Olympic moment.
