Why the Weather is fine in NIER

Well, as some of you might not know NIER is a new game for X-box made by Square-enix. This game was my final gambit for entertainment. The last time I bought a game was in the FYE. I think that store should be called FYB (or for your boredom). They where positively awful. I purchased Nier at "worst" buy (meaning best buy) I mean it was freaking expensive (don't tell mom about it).
The game itself is a mixture of devil may cry, with a bit of magic, combined with kingdom hearts, Radiata stories, a bit of a minty-flavor from star ocean, and Valkyrie profile.
The game itself is rather pleasant. I find it cute how the big tough father works day and night killing monsters to obtain money to feed his sick little girl. The story begins with one dad who is tricked by an evil book to give up his soul in exchange for power to fend off the enemy. Little, does that man know that the enemies originate from Grimgior Neir (book).
Several years pass, and the second book Weiss is found by our main character. I for our purposes I shall call the main character Nameless, one can named him whatever one wants. Moving along...
Unlike the other fellow, Weiss volunteered to help him out after the Nameless gave Weiss a royal beating that took his memory away. As time passed Weiss rejected his created and his evil twin Neir.
Anyhow, the battles are quite the bloody massacre. One cannot strike at a monster without creating a pool of blood worthy of a Japanese spooks film.Like Star Ocean, one can harvest items and level up abilities. Fishing and farming is also available...though I find both to be quite time consuming.
Also, the game synchronizes with the internal clock of the X-box.Thus, when it is noon in the real world, it is noon in the game world. I am at times inclined to believe it is synchronize with our weather patterns. I arrived to such a supposition just today when it was cloudy both within and outside the game. It might have been just a coincidence but still...
The bosses are super hard. They are devil may cry level of difficulty.Training usually does not help out much. The only things one can count on are the scarce healing items. In my opinion, the worse boss that I fought was the x-box from Egypt. One has to aim a spear beam at its hundreds of weak points while dogging 37,000 melee and laser been shots.
Another one of the super impossible bosses was the one that attack Nameless' town. This one one had to chase after while avoiding the small fries, while dogging the giant fist, while trying to hit the weak point 30 miles upward. This had a lot of attack, speed and defense. More the trice I had to recharge. Due to this monster, I was forced to fight Nior without healing items. Luckily, he was easier than his predecessor.
The side missions are time based. So it is not good to fight Grimgior Neir before one completes then. Neir's first encounter seems to delineate the first half or so of the game. Thus, all the impending missions from the first five years will be removed.
I found it rather odd that a game would be rated PG-17. I did not know that a 17 was still considered pg. If you ask me rating M would have sufficed.Yet, there is nothing that I would consider mature. Certainly, there is some foul talk and lots of blood. But if Naruto can get a PG rating from the Disney channel, I think that this game deserves a like rating. At least PG 10 or 14 at most 16. The format or storyline leads me to believe that in Japan this game was meant for teenagers to play not for young adults.
Anyhow, this game has served to distract me from my school work. Thus,I must give this cute game a 5 star Goddess Rating.
