 Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is so over the Top, or Episodes 5-7 Review

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is a really bizarre anime show. Well, today I watched episodes 5-7. I took a while to watch them because the guys had yet to subtitle it to English. Basically, Jojo, Zeppeli and Speedwagon had finally gotten inside Dio's town. The narrator alluded to the fact that this town would not survive the night. Dusk was finally coming down. Outside, Speedwagon got mugged by a kid. The guys used the ripples to walk on water. They finally got their money back. It turns out that the kid was being hypnotized by Dio. The kid had lured them to Dio's graveyard. When the night fell, Dio's Zombies arose. Dio also made an appearance. He was on top of a rock looking down on his foe. Zeppeli tried to use the ripples on Dio. However, he froze Zeppeli's hand. With a Frozen hand, Zeppeli could not use his blood to make ripples.





Dio has learned a lot of new tricks a well. After seeing the power difference among them, Dio called forth his vampire knights. These vampires were the former knights of Mary Stuart. They had been tricked and slain by queen Elizabeth. In their rage, they were prone to Dio's influence. He used his powers to make them his zombies. Dio bragged of how the past was at his disposal. After calling them, Dio made his grand exist. Meanwhile, Jojo had to fight the hairy knight. He lured Jojo underwater. Underwater, Jojo could not use the Ripples. He needed air to use his breath to fight. Ideally, he was suppose to race to the surface. However, he went down bellow. He knew the town had mines. He found an underwater air shaft. He was able to take some air and use the ripples to defeat the first knight.

The second knight was more problematic. While fighting him, they ended up in the medieval knights training ground. Jojo got trapped inside alone with the Vampire Knight. The Knight placed a neck shackle on him. Both wearing one, dueled. The mechanism was interesting. There was a chain in the steel collard. The chain was fed into the roof. Both collards where connected by the chain. As one moved, the chain got shorter on your opponents end. The match was won when your opponent was chocked to death. Jojo was outmatched. The chains were too uneven to produce a proper ripple. With the brute strength of the Vampire knight his demise was assured.

Outside, the boy that had been hypnotized by Dio, climbed into a narrow window. He was able to open the gate for Zeppeli and Speedwagon. This little maneuver nearly killed him. The Vampire knight had jumped the kid. Then again, the kid had realized that only these guys could save the town and his sister. As soon as Zeppeli entered, he realized that his death was assured. He had heard from his master, a Tibetan Buddhist Priest, his destined death. He tried to save Jojo however, the Vampire Knight caught him with his chain. Using his massive strength he sliced Zeppeli in half. He also broke Jojo's neck. Using what strength he had, with one hand, Zeppeli crawled toward Jojo's limp body. He gave him his life force. With this new strength, Jojo was able to defeat the Vampire knight.

On the meantime, Dio was back at his vampire castle. He was entertaining a guest. There was this chick that was begging Dio not to hurt her baby. In exchange, she would become his zombie. He agreed not to hurt the kid. When she became a zombie, she was the one who ate her baby. Later, Dio went to see Jojo's girlfriend. He had kidnapped her for pharmaceutical purposes. Well, back to Jojo. When he got into town, he saw that it was full of zombies. He was met by Zeppeli's master and 2 other apprentices.

They were there to back up Jojo. Now, onto the vampire castle. I like the fast paced tempo of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. From all the fighting styles I seen, the ripples is by far the most interesting. The last episode came with Japanese commercials. It seems that the first season of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is going to be sold in January 2013. Other than that, there is nothing else to comment on this bloody awesome vampire anime show. In any case, these three action packed episodes deserve 5 stars anime kida rating.
