Much Ado About Nebulae
For those that do not know, Nebulae is the plural for Nebula. Well, I just found out. Hehehe. I was just bored and wanted to write for phistars. Thus, I decided to write about starts and stuff. Anyhow, from the nebula new stars are born. Many Nebulae are formed when super Novas explode. Our sun, was born from a Nebulae. We are a second generation sun. Usually, inside the nebulae there is helium and hydrogen. These are the most common elements in all the galaxies. The carbon could only come about from an explosion of a super nova. The dust of the nebula contains the new elements. Anyhow, the first Nebula is called "California". Its close to the constellation of Perseus. Its called like that because it looks like the state of California. In any case, this lovely nebula deserves 5 star rating.
The next wallpaper shows some Embryonic Stars in the Rosette Nebula. Embryonic stars are baby stars that will grown into massive star giants. That Rosette Nebula is quite fertile for growing stars. You see all those varied colors? Each has different concentration of ionic elements. Such variation is the perfect nursery for baby stars. In any case, this lovely nebula deserves 5 star ratings.
This green looking Nebula is called "Jakes. That's all I know of this nebula. The again, the place where I got this wallpaper was a bit questionable. Well, that's google for you. Look at its lovely dark green color. Judging by its pattern, it must have been born from a huge super nova explosion. Oh, well, 5 stars for this star nursery. Hehehehehe....
The next wallpaper displays the Omega Nebula. Omega is such a cool name. This nebula is also know as the Swam. You can find this nebula around the Sagittarius constellation. Its called Omega because its supposedly resembles the Omega Greek letter. I don't see the resemblance.... The red part has low power, the blue is high power. I has a nice contrasting star making power. In any case, this shinny nebula deserves 5 star rating.
The next one is the Orion nebula. This nebula is located just bellow Orion's belt. Kinda weird if you think about it. Ok, moving along. What is special about this nebula is that you can see it with the naked eye at night. Well, you might be able to see it only in the everglades or the desert. Oh well, this Orion's Nebula deserves 5 star rating.
Here is another wallpaper showing the Rosetta Nebula. You now get a good idea as to why this nebula is called "Rosetta". Its reddish and it looks like a rose. Real pretty if you ask me. A five star worthy nebula wallpaper.
The next nebula has a silly name. Its called the Spaghetti Nebula. Its among the genre of shapeless nebulae. Its official name is Simeis 147. Its another remnant of a super nova. Doesn't it look like an explosion? In any case, this yummy nebula wallpaper deserves 5 star rating.
Above, we see the Soul nebula. Its found in the Cassiopeia constellation. Its called soul because its near the Heart shaped constellation. You know, scientist wanted to say Heart and Soul. Still, I never imagined the soul being green colored. In any case, this lovely nebula deserves 5 star rating.
The next nebula is called Thor's' Helmet. Doesn't it look awesome? I can see why it gets that name. This one is in the Canis Major constellation. I think that is everything. 5 stars for this cool looking nebula.
This colorful nebula is called W49B. This is different from the other nebulae we seen. This one was form from a Gamma Ray Burst. Gamma Ray Burst are rare random release of energy that show up around the universe. Scientist speculate that they are made by Super Novas. However, this is not too certain. After all, they would not be called a rare event if they where made by something as common place as a super nova. When they burst, we can see them from earth shinning between an instant and a minute. When the explosion is over, there still remains a faint glow. Nothing too far out there. Like that nebula above. This one's blue and green colors come from the clouds of Iron and Nickle. These are perfect heavy metals for making fancy planet Earths. Well, not that it matters to us, anyhow. After all, this nebula is like 35,000 light years away. In any case, this wonderful nebula deserves 5 star rating.
I do no know the name of the next nebula. To me, this nebula looks like a Hindu God walking among the stars. He looks pretty cool. Then again, my brother says he sees a shark. I guess looking at nebula shapes is no different than staring at clouds. In any case, this lovely nebula wallpaper deserves 5 star rating.
The next wallpaper shows the Bubble Nebula. You can see why its called so. This nebula can be found around the Cassiopeia Constellation. This one was created by the stellar winds of a young star. You can see it shining close to the green area. I think that is everything worth mentioning about the Bubble nebula. She deserves 5 star rating.
Above, we see the Calabash nebula. Doesn't it looks like a Ki attack? For those not antiquated with DBZ please look up a Ki attack for reference. Well, onto the Calabash nebula. This nebula is known as the "Rotten Egg". It called like that because its mostly made of Sulfur. You know, sulfur smells like rotten egg or like the devil. In any case, this amassing Nebula deserves 5 star rating.
I am not certain about the name of this Nebula. I only got this nebula wallpaper because it looks extremely pretty. I like the soft transition of colors in this Nebula. In any case, this nebula wallpaper deserves 5 star rating.
The next amassing nebula is the Corona Australis. This nebula is formed by a large field of dust. Its adorned by a few bright stars. That's everything worth mentioning about the Corona Australis Nebula. She deserves 5 star rating.
Above, we see the Crab Nebula. Its the remnants of a major super nova. Its inside the constellation of Taurus. It was seen by the Chinese, the Arabs and the Japanese astronomers in the year 1054. Yep, mankind was around to see a super nova blow up. Not, really, this Crab Nebula is like 65,000 light years away. Its probably not there anymore. In any case, this nebula wallpaper deserves 5 star rating.
The next nebula is called the Elephant Tusks. Its simply gas and dust in the Cepheus Constellation. I really do not get why this nebula is called so. Oh, well, its pretty enough to look at. In any case, this nebula wallpaper deserves 5 star rating.
The next nebula is called Eta Carinae. Its found in the constellation of Carinae. Scientist expect that its brightest star is gonna blow up into a super nova real soon. Anyhow, this fancy nebula deserves 5 star rating.
This wallpaper shows the flame nebula. You can guess why this nebula is called so. Its found in the Orion constellation. It has some of the coolest colors. This lil number deserves 5 star rating.
The last nebula, for now, is the Gum nebula. Its in around the constellation of Vela and Puppis. I really do not see why this nebula is called Gum. I suppose ,after a while, you start running out of cool names. Oh, well, I hope that you liked my nebulae blog. I was gonna make it longer. However, I think 20 nebula wallpapers is more than enough to make this blog seem long. Oh well. I did have forty. That just means we will have a part two to this nebulae blog. In any case, this last nebula deserves 5 star rating.
.
Cool!
