Another Anime Review
When I say Another Anime Review, I mean a review of an anime show called "Another". This cryptic title was the first thing that lured me to this mysterious new anime show. The first episode begins with a story of a popular girl named Mei Misaki. One day she was found death. However, her classmates pretended that she was still alive. Thus, it has become tradition in YomiYama middle school that her desk is to be left empty. It seems that all who become her classmates can see the Mei's ghost.
Mei is not done with life yet..The story opens with the main character Kouichi at the hospital. His lung had recently collapse. While in the hospital, he boards the elevator when Mei suddenly appears behind him. The class representative that had visited him did not felt right about telling Kouichi about Mei. You see, Kouichi is a transfer student from Tokyo. He is not aware of the sad history of Mei.
He goes to his first day of school. However, all classmates acted weird whenever he asked about Mei. His name is associated with death. They see it as a bad omen that someone with a name like his is going into the same classroom inhabited by Mei's ghost. He still has not noticed that the girl is dead, despite the fact that she visited the morgue while he was in the hospital.
The entire anime is governed by a strange eerie mood. The opening song showed a lot of gory scenes here and there. It seems that the title "Another" alludes to another tragedy that might occur in this anime show. However, what really creeps me out are the odd dolls that show up from time to time. I bet that at any moment something weird is gonna happened.
This anime show follows the traditional scary movie format. Like in "The Grudge", the main character meets the ghost on a good day. Sooner or later the ghost goes crazy... and that's the end of that. In any case, this eery horror anime show deserves 5 star rating.

Came here to see if the anime was good or not, now I know way to much about the ghost. Thanks for the complete lack of SPOILER ALERT asshole.
