Zetsuen no Tempest :The Civilization Blaster New Fall Anime Show Review

After working very hard, the creators of Eureka Seven has forge a new anime show. This anime show is different from their usual products. In the past, when we hear of Bones, we imagine a robot fantasy world. This time Bones decided to play with a little bit of magic. It seems they grew bored of sci fi futuristic worlds. Now, let us enter the world of Zetsuen no Tempest. Like Eureka Seven, this anime show starts with a regular high School boy named Yoshino. This boy is friends with strange boy by the name of Mahiro.

Mahiro is a reworking of Mahou which means magical in Japanese. You are starting to see the slight allusion to magic in beginning of Zetsuen no Tempest. Even Tempest refers to weather magic. Weather magic is the rarest and hardest magic to master. It so happens that Mahiro made a deal with a witch named Hakaze. He wanted Hakaze to slay the killers of his parents and sisters. This is where the title Zetsuen no Tempest starts making sense. Kaze means wind in Japanese. Thus, Hakaze must be a wind or weather magic user. Wind magic is great because it comes with the power of lightning, rain and Tornadoes. Thus, you get three elements for the price of one.

In any case, it seems that Hakaze has fulfilled her end of the bargain. Whatever Mahiro promised the witch it seems to have cost him his life. Like any great magic user, the witch Hakaze made Mahiro disappear. Like any good friend, Yoshino went to find out what happened to his friend. To make matters worse, Hakaze is not too pleased about Yoshino's accusation. Needless to say, Yoshino opened pandora's box when he went to discover what happened to his friend. He has gotten involved in some crazy magical mess that threatens the very fabric of existence.

You see, Hakaze has her own problems. She promised to help Mahiro, however he must her defeat her magical clan. Like Napoleon, her followers left her in a deserted island. She had stood up against her clan, the Kusaribe. She did not agree with their taking over the world scheme. This clan wanted to awaken the power of the Tree of Zetsuen. This totally amassing magical tree has the power to destroy the world. Once upon a time, there was the Tree of Life. Its roots kept the world from falling into Chaos. Parallel to this tree, there was the Tree of Zetsuen. This tree was meant to sink the world into chaos. The last time both trees fought each other the Tree of Zetsuen went into sleep mode. Now, the Kusaribe Clan desires to harness the power of the Tree of Zetsuen. When Yoshino hears the whole story from Hakaze. He agrees to also help the witch, along with his friend. 

As you can see, my fellow readers this new anime show has some potential. In a nutshell, this is an anime show about some crazy wizards who want to take over the world. It is up to the main characters to stop them. Simple, plot if you ask me. I will keep an eye on it and inform you when and where it will show up in the internet. For now, be happy to know that Zetsuen no Tempest is a 5 star worthy anime show. Phi Stars recommends it. I am very certain that Zetsuen no Tempest is going to air on October. The graphic novel version is the handy work of Kyō Shirodaira. It was illustrated by Arihide Sano and Ren Saizaki. They are from Square Enix.The perfect combinaition between Square Enix and Bones.  I think that is everything worth mentioning about Zetsuen no Tempest. I do not know why I think this show is going to be so totally yaoi...
