Code: Breaker sounds like a cheesy puzzle based anime show. However, I have never seen so much blood in the first episode of an anime show. It seems that these so called "Code: Breakers" are into breaking body parts. The storyline takes place in the usual setting. A regular teenage  populated high school. The main character is Ogami Rei, the new transfer student. He seems like a normal kid.



However, the beauty queen Sakurakouji Sakura can see through his act. She knows that Rei is a traditional Code: Breaker.  This means that he shows no mercy when fighting evil. If he sees an old lady getting robbed, Rei will go rob the money from the robbers grandma. Nah, he is not that crazy. He would simply kill the robber using his totally awesome ice magic. Yes, cold hearthed Rei uses ice magic.

Like any good anime girl, Sakura is convinced that killing is evil. Well, we cannot argue with her. Most think that killing is bad. However, we do not shed much of a tear for an evil doer during an execution. This anime show is a critique against capital punishment. In any case, Sakura decides to stop Rei using her kindness as a weapon. If you look at Code Breakers closely you will recognize the two opposing forces of Justice and Mercy. Rei is justice and Sakura is Mercy. For life to continue, there must be a balance between Justice and Mercy. In any case, the Code: Breaker anime show deserves 5 star rating.
