Netflix Cuts Corners to Focus on its “Original” Programming

Netflix has decided to stop paying for Epix movies. Instead of these movies, Netflix will invest on its own original programming. At no great lost, Netflix will no longer offer the ever dreadful Hunger Games and the Kabalistic Transformer movies. As of now, Netflix has 60 million subscribers.  Its rival Hulu will take over the Epix movie catalog.

This will assure that Hulu provides newer, hit movies. It was said that Netflix was paying Epix 1 billion dollars for content. Many subscribers do not regret the loss of those movies. After all, Epix movies are readily available on TV or the internet. As for the original content, Netflix original programming does not inspire much confidence.

Some of the new shows feature Adam Sandler and Idris Elba. Netflix did do a documentary about the guitarist Keith Richard. It’s a bummer whether the documentary will be as interesting as the artist. There are a growing number of people who are skeptical about this decision. Then again, Netflix has observed how many titles people watch.

Most people only watch a low number of movies. As such, they aim for quality over quantity. A pity is that their selection is usually questionable. Overall, Netflix has a problem dealing with internationals. They have to try to get movies that cater to the wants of people from all over the world. So, instead of beating Video On Demand services, Netflix will try to stay in business.
