3 Anime Shows that are 5 Star Worthy
Last night I finally got around watching the new anime season. From all the shows I watched, I only found three that I really, really like. The rest were just garbage. Same old, same old. In any case, I am going to first tell you about the good ones and then about the huge list of bad ones.
C3 - Cube x Cursed x Curious Anime Review
The story revolves around a cursed object named Fear. Fear was created during the time of The Inquisition. For hundreds of year she tortured all the enemies of the Pope. She was cursed by the victims of the Inquisition. After many years, she was found by Haruaki Yachi's father. He believed that his son had the power to break the curse placed on her. However, several secret organizations had other plans for Fear. Some wished to study her, others destroy her. It is up to Haruaki and his friends to protect Fear from those who wish to her harm.
It is a tale of self healing. In the first episode, Fear becomes self aware. After her first contact with the positive energies of Haruaki, Fear was able to obtain a human form. Like it was to be expected of an 9th century devise, she is maladjusted to the Japanese society. However, through the kindness of the Japanese community she slowly becomes more and more human. She only returned to her old self after Haruaki got hurt trying to protect her. The first episode seemed peaceful. However, this story took a 90 degree turn in the second episode. C3 is really, really bloody (as it is to be expected of an anime show dedicated to an 9th century torturing device). As you can see, the storyline is original and 5 star worthy.
Mirai Nikki Anime Review
This is the story of someone's imaginary world flying off the handle. Yukiteru Amano used to fantasize day and night about a god he called Dues Ex Machina. However, one day his imaginary god proposed to him that he played a lil game. He downloaded into Yuki's cellphone his future. With this Yuki was able to predict all the events that where going to happen to him. He taught he would have a "cheat- cheat" for life. However, one day his cellphone told him that the mass murderer that was going around had found him.
He taught that the killer was his classmate Yuno Gasai. He almost stabbed her to death in the elevator with his darts. However, she was another "dairy user". Hers was 10 minutes ahead. She kissed him and confessed his undying love for him. Yuno had always had a secret crush on Yuki. Together they used their diaries to ambush their persecuted.
That killer was another diary user. He was using his to track down his victims. However, by observing the changes in the diary, Yuki was able to masquerade his presence and destroy the assassin's diary. The killer then was sucked into a wind tunnel. Yuki later went to meet Deus Ex Machina. He thought he had made up this God however, Deus was only playing around with Yuki. This "dairy game" was part of a Battle Royal that Deus constructed in order to choose the successor to his Time and Space throne.
Yuki now has 90 days to kill all the other Dairy Users. At least he has the craze stacker chick Yuno on his side. With her help, Yuki might just become the new God of the earth. For originality, this new anime show deserves 5 stars.
Guilty Crown Review
This was the last anime show that I watched. The story begins with Ouma Shu watching a music video of a singer named Yuzuriha Inori. The scene then changes to Inori running away from the army. She had stolen a biological weapon and was trying to deliver it to the "Undertaker" resistance. On the way she encountered three giant robots. She was taken down but the army lost track of her after she fell from off a bridge.
Shu later discovers Inori tending to her wound in his secret hideout. He co-mingles with her for a bit until the army finds them. She then asks Shuu to deliver the weapon to the "Undertaker" resistance and then the army takes her away. He delivers the goods, however, the resistance spokesperson was annoyed by the fact that Shuu abandoned Inori. They later go to rescue her. Between the crossfire of the resistance and the army Shuu manages to find Inori. However, he gets attacked by two giant.
He jumps in to save Inori when the biological weapon breaks lose. The vial components spill over Inori. He then is able to use his hidden powers to draw a weapon from Inori. With the "Ability of Kings" Shuu defeats the giant robots. Now its up to him and the "Undertakers" to defeat the corrupt military dictatorship GHQ that has been killing all who they think are infected with the "Lost Christmas" virus. For all the cute robots and the original storyline, Guilty Crown deserves 5 stars.

ReplyDeleteAh Gasai Yuno, after I saw her, anime girls just aren't the same anymore...
ReplyDeleteYeah, that Yuno really is something else. Then again, most pink haired anime girls are a bit crazy.
