Death Note Second Opening "Whats Up, People?"

Death Note has become a classic in the Anime World. It has been translated into more than 20 languages. Its Hobbes philosophy has spread among the young anime otakus. It critiques violent Inquisition like actions to get rid of the evil in society. As L states, the good guys always win in the end. "Whats, Up People?", speaks about criminals. It acknowledges the sad fact of life that criminals will always exist. Even injustice can arise among those pursue bad guys. As Light Yagami, these enforcers of the law have the potential to become the thing they hate the most. This song describes Death Note pretty well. Maximum the Hormone, did a brilliant job arranging and composing this song.



This song is of the heavy metal variety. It's hyper active and aggressive. Then again the subject that it is addressing is violent. Needless to say, the creator of Death Note was against capital punishment. The repressive air under the rheum of Kira created an environment that  made it impossible for the criminals to redeem themselves. From what I studied, poverty is the root of all evil (as well as excesses). After all, societies creates monsters and then they place blame on their creations. This song discusses these important issues and the moral responsibilities we have in the creation of criminals. In any case, "Whats up, People? " is 5 star worthy anime song.
