The Twin Knights by Osamu Tezuka Cute Manga Sequel Review
Today, I wanted to review the Twin Knights graphic novel. This one is a sequel to the Princess Knight. The story starts with a bunch of court women preparing to tale the story of Princess Sapphire. In the second part, Princess Sapphire has given birth to twins. During the celebration, a fight broke out. As it always happened, a fight broke out over who would become the true heir of the throne.
One faction wanted Prince Daisy to take over. The other wants Princess Violetta to rule. The kids are still infants and they already have problems. To solve the problem, King Handsome asks God to intervene. In answer to his prayers, God sent the angel Tink. He was the angel who had previously helped Princess Sapphire.
He left the decision to chance. If he bow fell toward the left, it meant that Violetta was meant to be the ruler. If it fell toward the right, Daisy would be king. The bow decided that Daisy would be king. After it was decided, the supporters of Violetta steal prince Daisy. They dump him somewhere in the forest, with the hopes that he would die.
To keep Daisy's supporters from going berserk, King Handsome decides that Violetta will act as her brother. Queen Sapphire hated the idea that her daughter would be forced to live a double life, as both a boy and a girl. As for the Prince, he was raised by a dear named Papi.
The dear Papi asked the fairy queen to turn her into a human in order to raise the child. However, the fairy would only make Papi human during the night time. Also, should the prince find out she was a dear, it would cause Papi to die. So yeah, its the usual fairy tale scenario, with the usual fairy tale problems. In any case, this manga is 5 stars worthy. I suggest it to all who like cute little fairy tale kind of stories.
