Sir Edward Poynter was a famous English painter and designer. He was knighted because of his awesome talents. He mostly painted classical realism paintings. In other words, he painted perfect historical scenes. He also made many prints of his paintings. He made his name in the Royal Academy. The first painting shows Israel in Egypt. In the background, we see the majesty of Egypt. In the foreground, we see the Israel slaves. This painting shows that Egypt owns its majesty to slave labor. This realistic historical painting deserves 5 stars rating. 

This painting shows a group of maidens visiting Aesculapius. Aesculapius was the God of healing. He is currently performing his preliminary examinations. The dressed nymphs are Aesculapius's nurses. The scenery too is pretty realistic. This lovely mythological painting by Poynter deserves 5 stars rating.

This beautiful painting shows the lovely Andromeda. She is averting her gaze from the Kraken. 5 stars for this cuties.

The low tide has revealed the Grotto of this nymph. She seems to be looking at something or other. 5 stars for this classical painting.

This painting shows the sweet doctor, Chloe. Even animals come to see this beauty. The bell flowers by the window look very pretty. This doctor deserves 5 stars rating.

This painting shows a maiden working. She makes a wreath of flowers while watching over her happy baby. Beside her, a costumer looks at the baby as well. The baby has quite the happy face. This painting shows Venus. She recently received a flower from a guy coveting her hearth. She looks out the window to see who sent her the flower. Her pink dress looks extremely pretty. Poynter deserves 5 stars rating for this beautiful painting.

Diadumenè basically means the golden hair string. It shows this Venus performing the everyday task of getting dress. The ornamented scenery looks extremely details, and original. For some reason, a bird is watching her get dressed. Anyhow, this beautiful painting deserves 5 stars rating.

This painting shows Diana visiting her lover Endymion. The full moon the background looks beautiful. This lunar goddess deserves 5 stars rating.

This painting shows a common day scene from Egypt. this maiden feeds the sacred Ibis. They were the sacred birds of Djehuty. The indoor scenery looks rather colorful. This is how ancient Egypt truly used to look like. This lovely historical genre painting deserves 5 stars rating.

This Biblical lithograph shows Miriam leading the other Israeli women in song. She led the celebration song the day the Israelite got their freedom. Her black dress makes her stick out from the rest of the maidens. She truly does look quite epic. Edward Poynter's biblical lithograph deserves 5 stars rating.

This next painting shows a genre scene. It shows a maiden dancing. Her pink dress looks very pretty. The marble floor looks amassing. This historical genre scene deserves 5 stars rating.

This next painting shows two slave maidens carrying water. The main one has a stiff Egyptian profile. This lovely lithograph deserves 5 stars rating.

The next painting shows a beautiful Syren playing her lyre. By her feet, we see a piece of wood from one of the sunken ships. She looks quite beautiful with her pearly necklaces and hair ornaments. This classical painting deserves 5 stars rating.

The last painting shows two water babies. Both were live girls who drowned many years ago. At their death, the maidens became water babies. Its part of a children fairy tale or something.
