The Witcher III: Wild Hunt is part of a trilogy based on a series of Polish books. The books never got translated to English. However, the trilogy was very popular in Poland. The game continues with the adventures of Geralt of Rivia. 

He lives in a world were Gerald is Geralt and Jennifer is Yennefer. Being a male witch, or a witcher means he is a monster hunter of sorts. Through the Trail of the Grasses, he was able to gain super human abilities.


 

The game starts with him looking for Yennefer. After he finds her, he spends the rest of the game looking for Cirri. He eventually finds her around the middle of the game. The girl was being pursued by the Wild Hunt.

The Eredin, King of the Wild Hunt, needs her blood to bring his entire army to this world. His armor is very similar to the armor of the members of the Darkwraith Covenant, from Dark Souls. Then again, both tend to invade worlds rather often. 

The wild hunt is actually a polish folktale. It tells of an army of specters that ride out at night. They usually show up in the winter time. They also kidnap humans and force them to participate in their hunts. Eredin and his crew follow this story to the letter.

The only difference is that the leader of the Wild Hunt is not Odin. Still, the game did go along with the winter theme of the Wild Hunt. Like in the Norman legends, the people in the world of the witcher thought the world was going to end when the White Frost came.

The witcher has only 6 spells. Though, they are really good spells. He also can only do potions. Its a lot less annoying than skyrim. In Skyrim, one can learn all crafts. This causes the player to spend the entire game making iron knifes. 

At least in the Witcher, the blacksmiths can make you whatever weapon you like as long as you have the blue print. Their skill level varies. The best sword smith is found in Novigrad. The mission to get him was kinda annoying, but worth it.   

Like skyrim, the Witcher has a lot of glitches. However, the game loads up pretty fast. The missions are also not at all too buggy. The game also has plenty free downloads. It is really worth playing. The best missions are the monster hunting missions.
