Senguko Basara is based on a cool historical vs game. None of the characters needed an introduction since they were historical figures. The first season focused on Oda Nobunaga. He was the main bad guy of the story. 

Based on history, Nobunaga fought with guns, as well as his wife. The fighting was just what you would expect of a fighting anime show.  The characters too had a nice design. The Tiger of Kai spent most of his time beating the stupid out of Lord Yukimura. The best one was his rival Masamune Data.

The final battle was at least pretty interesting. Nobunaga's sister was pretty disturbing. She got worst as the seasons went by. The weirdest character was the arbitrary Gundam that fought with Tokugawa Ieyasu. Overall, it was a pretty cool fighting show.
