Hidden Treasure
by Teresita Blanco
Hidden
deep below
Lies a
treasure.
Rubies
and emeralds;
Gold rings
by tons.
Its location
Only known
by some!
There go
those golden heralds,
Weighted
down
By their
golden chains.
Dig
below to find
This hidden
treasure.
Only then
You might
know pleasure.
Break
those rusted chains.
Escape
from all your pains.
Golden
rings, rusting by tons.
Rubies
and emeralds
Covered with
dust.
Drowning Trivia

Now here
we come again,
Trying to
reciprocate.
Baby,
don’t go away.
Forget
it,
Regret it.
The
floodgate opens
Its water
suffocates
Away your
pain.
Swim up,
Climb
up,
Baby,
breath again.
Don’t
get in my way!
Greek Temple

Cold ruins,
without color.
Pristine
marble;
A single
column
Bracing against
the storm.
Callous
maidens
Supporting
the whole.
A breeze
passes,
Carrying
the echoes
Of a
time gone by.
It
screams, it breathes,
“Let
there be light,
Part the
left from the right.”
A rain,
unbecoming,
Baptizes
the ruins anew.
Their
sings, white washed.
Can’t
you hear their muted voices?
Listen,
they are crying, “Justice”.
