Orquidia
by Teresita Blanco

This demon lives on others,
It requires their blood, their life.
Their self-sacrifice,
Cannot suffice this parasite.

In the end it reborn
Red, and crimson,
Known for her cunning
And self-mortal clash.

Such rare Orquidia
Only exist in the past,
Its seeds drifts
Hoping to find
A final resting place.

Awaiting slowly
For the final day,
Until the recollection
From the orchard…
The only immortal one.

Humans keep on taking…
Its life forsaken!!
In wasted pleasure
For blind’s Beauty
And scented grimace.

Forever chained to us;
Such Flower should be
Left alone in order to be…

Editor's Note: Orquidia means orchid. I flower name sounds better in spanish. Don't cha think?
